Looking Ahead to 2012

This is my very first blog post! I am so excited to begin this journey. In the year 2012 I am going to learn how to love and respect myself for the first time in 44 years. It begins with taking care of myself physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I would like to loose 100 pounds this year, and in the process of that begin to love myself. I have always said that I have never felt love before, despite being married for almost 25 years and having 4 children. That sounds so sad to me as I type it, but it is raw honesty. I have several goals that I would like to commit to here:

1. Loose 100 lbs., 10 lbs. at a time.
2. Explore how taking care of myself equals self love, which hopefully equals love from
others.
3. Exercise daily: walking or Wii - Just Dance
4. Daily look my best by fixing my hair, wearing make up, and wearing jewelry.
5. Practice daily gratitude (refrain from complaining).

This is a very do-able list for 2012. I am ready and excited for change!

    This is a great approach and the one I use. Thinking about the bigger number is too mentally challenging. What I did was set smaller goals. Certain weights that meant something to me.. 10%, 20%.. lowest since xxx etc.. good luck!
