"If you put off everything till you're sure of it, you'll never get anything done ."
I found this quote by Norman Vincent Peele. I have lived my life putting off everything and I am done living this way. I have wasted years waiting for everything to line up right. I am missing the journey. I pray that I start enjoying the journey, even if it will take forever to lose all this weight.
It will not take forever. We get too wrapped up in dividing how much we have to lose by 12 months or longer and set ourselves up for discouragement. Don't even think about that. Make each day the best one you know how. You probably haven't read my blog very much yet but I am a firm believer in behavior changes. Low carb is my method of choice. If you will do three things consistently the weight comes off - exercise 3 - 5 times per week, drink at least 64 oz. of water each day, and wait for the growl to eat; eat what you want in small amounts; and then wait for the next growl. I refer you to www.weighdown.com for starters. I really believe we have to do it our own way. That's what will last. You can add other behavior changes of your own - not eating after 6 p.m., not eating in the car, or other behaviors that you need to address. I pray to God each morning for strength and I am thankful to Him in the evening. Take care.
